Reusable first stages turned launch from bespoke engineering into logistics. A single booster flying twenty times changes every economic assumption: cadence goes up, price per kilogram drops, and entirely new payload classes become viable.
Launch is the chokepoint of the whole industry — whoever controls cheap, frequent access to orbit shapes everything above it. It's also where the most intense engineering hiring happens.
